Inspired by Scotland's national flower, this contemporary fused art glass panel depicts a Scottish Thistle in rustic colours. This lovely Thistle will remind you of bonny Scotland, wherever you may roam.

In order to create this glass art, I began by translating the image of a thistle into glass using finely crushed glass on a solid glass background. This process takes time, patience and a very steady hand - it's like making intricate patterns out of sand. The piece is then kiln fired at a high temperature, taking many hours for the glass to fuse.

The result is a stylised Thistle finished in painterly style, presented on a high quality frame with signed mount. 
Your Scottish Thistle will look beautiful when hung on the wall and just as pretty when displayed on a dresser or other flat surface.
